CAD Audio GXL1200BP
Cardioid Pencil Condenser Microphone
The CAD GXL1200BP was released in 2011 to mark the 10th anniversary of CAD’s best-selling GXL line of microphones.
Like its namesake, the GXL 1200, GXL1200BP is an end-address, small-diaphragm condenser microphone made in China. Both mics use a true condenser capsule with a FET amplifier circuit and transformerless output.
The frequency response is relatively flat from 30Hz to 3kHz where a peak rises 5dB centered at 7-9kHz.
Aside from the new ‘Black Pearl’ finish and slightly changed body design, the 1200BP is identical in specifications to the GXL1200.
