Cathedral Pipes Regensburg Dom
Multi-Pattern Tube Condenser Microphone
The Regensburg Dom is a large-diaphragm tube mic, presented as a “vintage German design with bite.”
The capsule is an American-made M7, a 32mm capsule with glued-on diaphragms of 6-micron Mylar. The tube is a PF86 pentode (similar to an EF86), sourced from Amperex or Valvo Holland. The output transformer is a Cinemag CM-2461NiCo. High-quality components are used throughout the circuit, including Wima, Solen, and Multicap capacitors.
The mic ships in a metal flightcase with its power supply, a shockmount, foam windscreen, and cables.
