Milab Microphones
Swedish microphone designer Rune Rosander founded Pearl Microphone Labs in 1941. The company was split in 1978, with Rosander’s son Hans leading the new company, Milab (short for Microphone Laboratories).
Some of the PML technologies, most notably Rosander’s rectangular-membrane condenser capsule design, and products, including the well-known DC-96 microphone, were transferred to the new company.
Milab was purchased by TN Development AB in 1993.
